What should I wear for the session?
Short answer: whatever you feel confident in! If you're lost, you can never go wrong wearing neutral colors. Neutrals are ALWAYS flattering and compliment all environments. I also love color and unique shoots, so if you're thinking of something more unique to you, I'm all in! Again, it's all about what makes you feel confident.
I feel awkward in front of camera. Will you direct me?
Absolutely! I always say the first 15 minutes of a shoot is awkward, but then the nervous jitters wear off. My style is to give you cues for things to do and I'll capture moments in between. I also make sure we capture some more intentional moments and may have you move a hand or fix a piece of hair, but I try to keep it as organic as possible.
I have a 4 person shoot, but an hour seems like a long time. Can we shorten the session time?
The session time includes the set up, walking between different spots at the location, breaks, etc.
This time is essential - especially if you have kiddos. I'd rather have a fun, no pressure shoot than rush through a session. If you have younger children and everyone is ready to call it, we can always cut the session early! Just know, my price is still the same.
What does "+" mean for a photo count?
I will give you a minimum amount of photos based on the package you select, but I always say '+' after the minimum number because I typically give you a little more than that base number! I just can't keep a good photo from you.
Will you edit my skin or change anything?
I'll edit a scratch, bruise, blemish or things that wouldn't normally be there. I will not edit beauty marks, wrinkles, etc. However, if there is something you feel sensitive about/don't want highlighted, let's chat! My goal is for you to cherish and wow at your photos!
What does the cost include?
Your session time, planning of the session, editing time, the photos themselves and my travel time (if the location is no more than 25 miles from me).
How do I book a session with you?
Fill out the form on the 'Contact Me' page. After we discuss details including date and time, I'll request a $50 non-refundable deposit. Your session is not confirmed until the deposit is received. For speciality sessions, the non-refundable deposit is 35% of the session cost. The deposit goes towards the final cost.
Do you have a payment plan option?
My standard payment structure is the $50 non-refundable booking deposit, 50% of the session cost 1 month prior (depending on the time of booking) and the remainder 50% due the day before the session. I am always happy to break the payments up more if needed! My goal is to make photo shoots accessible!
Cancellation policy?
You can cancel your session at anytime! However, the booking deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations a week out (or less) will not receive a refund on the first 50% of cost. Day of cancellations are not eligible for any refund. Rescheduling is different the a cancellation!
Can I reschedule the session?
Absolutely! Life happens! However, to reschedule a session, I require an additional $50 non-refundable booking fee. Booking with me is reserving my time prior to the session as well as that date/time.
When can I expect to receive my photos?
Currently, my turnaround time is 2-4 weeks. It is dependent on the season, but I try to get your photos to you as soon as I can!
What if I want a specific photo from the shoot, but it's not in the final gallery?
I will give you all of the best photos! If you don't receive a photo it is likely because it didn't turnout OR there was a better image that I gave you from that moment. Photos represent my work, so I will only give you photos that uphold my style and quality of work.
Can I have the unedited photos?
Part of selecting a photographer is choosing their style! I do not give unedited images, please do not ask!
